I actively look for hidden history in Aberdeen… and I still missed this. These cobbles are part of Huxter Row, a long-lost Aberdeen street that existed here before Union Street was even built. First recorded in 1440, Huxter Row began life as Boothraw a street of rented trading booths and later became a busy hub of everyday city life. Tailors, printers, shoemakers, grocers and taverns once lined this street. It sat close to the old Town House and was part of a lively, working Aberdeen, full of pe
