Between 9 and 15 Oct 2025, officers from the SPF, ICA, Customs and HSA conducted a week-long multi-agency enforcement operation across our land, air and sea checkpoints to detect and enforce against non-compliance with Singapore’s Cross-Border Cash Reporting Regime (CBCRR) and other illegal cross-border smuggling activities. On 28 January 2026, ICA officers at Woodlands Checkpoint foiled an attempt to smuggle e-vaporisers into Singapore via a Malaysia-registered car driven by a 33-year-old man, with his 33-year-old wife and children aged 3, 5 and 8.
