NASCAR Cup Series race at Watkins Glen is moving from August to early May, prompting some to ask, "Is that too early?"

The NASCAR Cup Series' road-course ace did Sunday, Aug. 10, what he's done all season. He dominated a road race. Van Gisbergen won the Go Bowling at the Glen, giving him his fourth victory of the season.

Change is coming to Watkins Glen International next year. The annual Go Bowling at The Glen NASCAR race weekend will be held May 8 through the 10th. It marks the first time the race will be held outside of summer since its return to the track in 1986.

Shane van Gisbergen — Scored his fourth consecutive road course victory, winning by 11.1 seconds — the second largest margin of victory in Cup history at Watkins Glen. He becomes the third driver in series history to win four consecutive road course races. He is the first driver to win four road course races in a season.

The Schuyler County Italian-American Festival in Watkins Glen is continuing through the weekend. On Saturday, August 16, the event held its parade through the village.
