Earlier this week, the official social media accounts of the Beatles began teasing something.Many fans assumed it had to do with their long-running Anthology series, and they were right: An expanded Anthology box set and documentary are on the way. The music side of Anthology consists of a box set of 12 LPs, 8 CDs, and digital collections out Nov. 21.
Beatles fans will be feeling some “real love” for this: New content from the iconic band is coming this fall on screen, in music and in print. “The Beatles Anthology” will be returning “in its ultimate form,” according to a release issued Thursday.
This episode goes behind the scenes of the 1995 documentary; new mixes of “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love” are coming out; and an updated book is due.
