Cincinnati Reds superstar Elly De La Cruz has reportedly been dealing with a quad injury for most of the season, but it seems to be getting better now.

The Reds felt great about their starting pitching depth after the trade deadline, and they could get some of that back soon with Nick Lodolo trending toward a return. But for now, Lodolo and Chase Burns are on the IL and the rotation depth doesn’t look so strong.

Six Cincinnati Reds Minor League affiliates were in action on Tuesday. Here are the top performances from those games: Hector Rodriguez went 0-4. Sal Stewart went 0-3 with a walk. Stewart made his first career start at first base. Rece Hinds went 0-4.

The Cincinnati Reds' Tyler Stephenson originally hurt the left thumb catching a pitch last week. It was not considered serious enough then for x-rays.
