That’s not the only relationship Metchie has in the Eagles’ locker room. He also knows Jahan Dotson pretty well. While they weren’t ever actually teammates in high school, Dotson hosted Metchie on his visit to The Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey.

Coach did, however, pipe up when the conversation briefly shifted to John Metchie. Current Eagles stars from the Alabama Crimson Tide have that effect on the conversation. Having been allowed to discuss the team's new wideout, Coach Sirianni morphed into the usually expressive guy we have all gotten to know and love.

Metchie, who was acquired Sunday from Houston, is close with DeVonta Smith from their time together at Alabama, and also has crossed paths with Jahan Dotson.
