A Brazil Supreme Court justice ordered the house arrest of former President Jair Bolsonaro, on trial for allegedly masterminding a coup plot and a Trump ally.

SAO PAULO (AP) — Brazil’s Former President Jair Bolsonaro temporarily left house arrest Saturday to undergo medical exams in Brasilia, after a judge authorized him to spend six to eight hours at a hospital.

Brazilian police called Wednesday for former president Jair Bolsonaro and his son Eduardo to be charged with obstruction of justice for attempting to interfere with the ex-leader's trial over plotting an attempted coup.
