The Slovenian national team had its final tune-up ahead of EuroBasket 2025 on Thursday when it took on Serbia in a friendly match. Serbia has a talented team that features three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokić, as well as Bogdan Bogdanovic of the Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat big man Nikola Jovic.
Serbia concluded their preparation stage ahead of FIBA EuroBasket 2025 with their seventh consecutive victory, dismantling Slovenia 106-72 and looking unstoppable. Nikola Jovic was Serbia’s best protagonist against Slovenia, finishing with 18 points and 7 rebounds.
Luka finished with 28 points, six rebounds, 10 assists, three steals and one block in 28 minutes as Slovenia picked up a 93-81 victory over Great Britain in their latest exhibition on Tuesday. It was Slovenia’s first victory during this exhibition run as they gear up for EuroBasket, which kicks off on Aug. 28.

Lakers star Luka Dončić cleared to play for Slovenia on Tuesday after Eurobasket injury scare
During Saturday's game against Latvia, Dončić went down when a teammate careened into his legs. Dončić signaled to be substituted out of the game and limped to the locker room. After the game, it was confirmed that the injury was minor, labeled as a knee contusion.
