Locked into long-term contracts, Brock Purdy, Kyle Shanahan, and John Lynch give the 49ers stability, but their trajectory depends on developing young talent around an aging core and maintaining championship-level coaching.
The San Francisco 49ers are expected to be a bounce-back team in the 2025 season. It would help if they got off to a hot start, and John Breech of CBS Sports thinks that the team will do exactly that. In an article that predicted the first loss for each team, Breech had the 49ers going 4-0 before losing their first game.
Seeing as the Niners can’t out and trade for Packers’ now-cornerback Bo Melton (yes, they changed his position and it’s apparently going well), there are three names I suspect are at the top of the 49ers’ attainable wishlist:
