With no movement on a long-term union between the Cowboys and Micah Parsons, ESPN’s Adam Schefter gave insight into the relationship. Dallas owner Jerry Jones hasn’t given clear answers as to why those negotiations have paused, and that is only making matters worse.

Parsons, the Cowboys’ 12th overall pick in 2021, has been seeking a new deal as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. The 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year pubblicly requested a trade from the Cowboys on Aug. 1, citing a lack of communication from the club to negotiate a deal.
