NEW YORK — Breanna Stewart is back after missing a month with a bone bruise in her right knee. The New York Liberty star said she’ll play against Connecticut, marking her return after missing 13 games.

Despite some recurring struggles, the New York Liberty had fun against the Connecticut Sun with Breanna Stewart back in tow.

Stewart made her return to the Liberty lineup after missing 13 games with a knee injury and played 21 minutes, scoring a team-high 19 points. Ionescu came back after sitting out New York’s loss to the Atlanta Dream on Saturday, logged 11 points, nine assists and seven rebounds and made the game’s biggest defensive play in the final seconds.
