The final week of the NFL preseason indicates two things: autumn is almost here, and fantasy football drafts are approaching. For die-hard New York Giants and Jets fans, it’s time to have deep thought sessions on whether or not drafting your favorite players is a good idea.
The New York Jets held a practice on Sunday without media or assistant coaches present the day after suffering a 31-12 loss to the New York Giants in their second preseason game. The only people in attendance for the practice were players and first-year coach Aaron Glenn.
Led by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, the New York Giants lit up the skies and the Jets in a 31-12 victory to close out Week 2 of the preseason.

Justin Fields and the New York Jets' passing offense struggled against the Giants. Fields, who signed a two-year, $40 million deal to replace Aaron Rodgers, completed just one of five passes for 4 yards in the Jets' 31-12 preseason loss Saturday night.
Beaux Collins had an 80-yard catch that led to a touchdown on the Giants' first possession. Dalen Cambre had 45 yards on two receptions. Jordan Bly was on the other end of a 41-yard Tommy DeVito strike in the fourth quarter.
New York most likely will have to look to the draft in order to secure the franchise quarterback of the future. ESPN's Field Yates believes that could happen as early as 2026, and he thinks the Jets will swing a deal with their neighbor to get it done.
