Learn how to remove the Task View button or icon from the Windows 11/10 taskbar easily to disable the Virtual Desktop feature from being used.

Accessing Task View To access the new Task View feature in Windows 10, you'll locate and click its button, which is anchored on the Taskbar adjacent to the Start button (Figure A).

Use Task View to switch between desktops, add new desktops, rename desktops, move apps, and more. Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and click the Task View toggle to enable the Task View Button.
