Burmese python caught swallowing full-sized deer proves the invasive snakes are eating bigger native prey in Florida, study says.

Scientists from the Conservancy of Southwest Florida found a Burmese python who ate a full-size white-tailed deer.

The scientists studied three adult female Burmese pythons. As one of those snakes was ingesting a 77-pound white-tailed deer, they discovered the deer was 66.9% of the snake’s mass.
