NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The New Haven Police Department is warning the city’s residents about a phone scam whose perpetrators are reportedly impersonating officers and demanding money from victims.

The "review bombing” extortion scam is happening locally and across the nation, according to the Better Business Bureau of Central Ohio.
