Abstract We show that the Hilbert transform does not map 𝐿¹(𝑀Φ𝑤) to 𝐿¹,∞(𝑤) for every Young function Φ growing more slowly than 𝑡 log log(𝖾𝖾+𝑡). Our proof is based on a construction of M.C.
