Citing an official confirmation from AT&T rep Seth Bloom, DSLReports is, well, reporting that AT&T will pull the trigger on data caps on heavy users of its U-Verse and DSL offerings, starting May 2.

I don't have U-Verse but I'm thinking you should be able to switch their equipment to a 'pass through/bridge' mode to where it should just act like a modem at which point it should just pass traffic ...
