A former Yosemite employee says they've been fired by the National Park Service, three months after flying a transgender pride flag from El Capitan.

The National Park Service terminated Shannon Joslin over the May 20 demonstration, which it said took place in a prohibited area and lacked the required permits.

Shannon Joslin was part of a group that hung a 55-by-35-foot transgender Pride flag in Yosemite National Park.
