‘Higher-order functions’ is a fancy term for functions that take other functions as arguments or that return functions. Very powerful!

Custom functions are not currently available for Excel on mobile devices, or in production versions of Excel. TypeScript users may also write custom JavaScript functions.

Microsoft first tested custom functions through the Office Insider Program, and it’s now ready to roll it out to a wider audience.
