After a rough two-game stretch, the Boston Bruins forced another game in their series with the Buffalo Sabres after a 2-1 overtime win in Game 5 on Tuesday night. Right winger David Pastrnark scored the game-winner at the 9:14 mark of overtime after a Sabres turnover and a long pass from defenseman Hampus Lindholm, his second of the series.
David Pastrnak said Game 4 was weighing on the Bruins players. In addition to all the obvious reasons for wanting to win Game 5, they didn’t want Sunday’s 6-1 embarrassing loss to the Sabres to be the final impression they left on their home crowd this season.
