The Rainbow Warriors haven’t beaten a power conference team since 2019, but they’re favored at home over the Cardinal.

Ben Gulbranson was one of 17 transfers to arrive at Stanford since last season, more than every previous season of Cardinal football combined.

Final preparations are underway as the Rainbow Warriors football team takes on Stanford to open the 2025 season.

Quarterback Micah Alejado added that the spotlight only raises the stakes. “It’s a humongous opportunity for us…Just knowing that everybody [is] looking at our program, our team, Hawaii’s team…it is special. It’s a blessing for sure just to be on this stage.”

Rainbow Warriors Football will be hosting Stanford University on Aug. 23 at the Ching Complex, with fans and University of Hawaiʻi officials alike eager to kick off football season. The theme for the game is a white out,
