Earlier today, Team Cherry finally announced a release date for its long-awaited Hollow Knight sequel Silksong. After seven years, it will finally be out next month. Yet contrary to what you may believe, Silksong hasn't been in development hell for that time.

It wasn't a dream. You didn't imagine it. No one made it up. It happened. On Thursday, Team Cherry revealed that Hollow Knight: Silksong, the long-awaited follow-up to Hollow Knight, one of the most highly-regarded video games ever made, is finally coming out.

After six long years of waiting, Silksong finally has a release date—as announced on Team Cherry's YouTube channel. It's my pleasure to inform you that Silksong will finally be arriving to PC on September 4, marking an end to years of waiting for the Hollow Knight sequel and, tragically, over half a decade of top-tier Silkposting.

Team Cherry has already committed to some ambitious post-launch support of Silksong and the game still isn't out.
