Romanian Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has stated that providing NATO allies with military bases for F-35 fighter jets could be his country's contribution to efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in Ukraine.

Romania may contribute to achieving lasting peace in Ukraine by granting NATO allies access to its military bases, prime minister Ilie Bolojan said in a televised interview on Antena 1, as reported by Agerpres.

Romania's "aerial surveillance system" identified "groups of drones launched by the Russian Federation that attacked Ukrainian ports on the Danube," the ministry said. "During the mission, there were no penetrations of aircraft in the national airspace."
