José Alvarado reconnected with the Phillies clubhouse and spoke to the media about what he expects in his return from an 80-game PED suspension.
Alvarado is eligible to return from his 80-game PED suspension on Tuesday (Aug. 19) and has been ramping back up in Lehigh Valley for just shy of two weeks. The hard-throwing right-hander made relief appearances for the IronPigs on Friday and Sunday night.

Ahead of Monday’s series opener against the Seattle Mariners, manager Rob Thomson announced that Alvarado would return to the active roster on Tuesday when he is first eligible. “José Alvarado will indeed be activated tomorrow when he’s eligible to rejoin the roster, Rob Thomson said,” wrote Ty Daubert of Phillies Nation.
Alec Bohm went deep in his return and the Phillies finished their road trip Sunday with a high-scoring win over the Nationals.
