The UN-backed IPC says more than half a million Palestinians facing catastrophic famine conditions amid Israel’s war.

Famine has been determined in Gaza Governorate, where Gaza City is located, according to a warning issued Friday by the IPC.

The famine in Gaza is one of only four famines ever officially declared by the IPC since it was established in 2004.
