Professor Cogburn leads a research group at Columbia University that innovatively characterizes and measures racism, investigating its effects on mental and physical health through emerging technologies like virtual reality. She is the creator of the immersive VR experience "1000 Cut Journey" and holds key roles within Columbia’s Population Research Center, Data Science Institute, and the Justice Equity Tech

Emily Norris is a full-time student in our Online MSSW program. She currently works for the City of Knoxville while going to school and is making an impact on youth in Knoxville.
