The Cook County Promise Guaranteed Income Pilot was a two-year program that provided monthly, no-strings-attached payments of $500 to 3,250 households in the County. It was the largest publicly-funded program of its kind in the nation. Nikita was one of the pilot’s participants, and he kindly shared his story with us this morning.
